The word ‘social’ in social media creates huge problems for many enterprises which automatically associate the word with leisure activities which they perceive as a waste of time in an enterprise setting. How do you convince management that ‘social’ can not only deliver huge value to an organisation, but is also an essential pre-requisite for employee engagement, knowledge management and a whole host of other desirable business outcomes?
Richard will explain how BT acknowledged the value of social media in an enterprise setting and embraced the full range of tools on offer. He will explain the business benefits, discuss the potential impact of deploying these tools in your organisation and show some practical examples of the tools in use on the BT Intranet. Finally, he will share some of the lessons learned throughout the process.
