Richard is senior manager - social media at BT responsible for social media strategy and policy and group-wide knowledge management governance.
BT has deployed the full range of social media tools on its intranet, from blogs to social networking, and Richard has led or been directly involved in all these deployments in one form or another. He shares his experiences and insights around deploying social media tools in a corporate context on his blog: richarddennison.wordpress.com.
Richard is a regular speaker at industry conferences and has contributed thought-provoking articles around the future of corporate communications in a number of publications.
When he isn't trying to socialise and humanise BT, Richard loves exploring and living rough in wild places. He also enjoy painting and running ... when his ageing body lets him.

Richard will explain how BT acknowledged the value of social media in an enterprise setting and embraced the full range of tools on offer. He will explain the business benefits, discuss the potential impact of deploying these tools in your organisation and show some practical examples of the tools in use on the BT Intranet. Finally, he will share some of the lessons learned throughout the process.
