Michiel Hazen is a content management specialist and has over 8 years experience in the field of knowledge and information management. As consultant and project manager he worked on all aspects of implementing enterprise content management with a variety of solutions.

Since 2005 has Michiel worked on several SharePoint projects for intranets, document management, records management, enterprise search and public websites. Through these projects he has gained experience on the impact of SharePoint on organizations, especially in regard to governance.

Michiel works at Ordina Public Management Consulting.

In many organizations managing a project and/or application portfolio around SharePoint ends up being a responsibility of the IT-department. That's if it's recognized as an explicit role at all.

In this presentation Michiel will show several scenario's on how to deal with this: What roles should you appoint around SharePoint governance? How do they match the roles Microsoft implicitly embedded in the product (that aren't necessarily aligned with existing organizational roles)?
