Helle has worked in the IT business for more than 20 years. During the last 6 years she has been focused on developing infrastructure to support communication, cooperation and knowledge management. Intranet and systems for document handling have been key elements in optimization within processes for communication, cooperation and knowledge management.
Her recent projects at the Danish Ministry of the Environment include implementation of a new intranet and web conferencing.
Helle was one of the main architects of ekalender.dk. ekalender.dk is open for everyone and enables users to book electronic meetings between different public authorities, companies etc. using different calendaring systems.
Danish Ministry of the Environment
The Ministry of the Environment is in charge of administrative and research tasks in the area of environmental protection and planning. In Denmark the administration at state level is managed by the Ministry of the Environment. At regional and local level, much of the administrative responsibility has been delegated to municipalities.
The Ministry has four agencies, one corporate management centre, and seven independent Environment Centres. Two independent appeal boards Institute are also linked to the Ministry.
The Ministry of the Environment was created in autumn 1971 when two ministries were merged. The Ministry employs more than 2500 people.
